Pavilliun Seulawah was badly affected by the tsunami in 2004. A new, more modern building has been built to replace the former one and is ready to receive guests. Situated in front of the city's town field and Monument RI.

The hotel has been undergoing major reconstruction post tsunami and their first priority is fixing the guest rooms. Most guest rooms are now complete and they have begun work on getting the hotel's facilities in place.
